Snow Angel Elf Cookie

Uh oh! Looks like this giant edible Elf on the Shelf® can’t be left alone in the kitchen. The good news is that he’s as delicious as he is mischievous. And he is easy to make.

PREP TIME: 45 Min  |  TOTAL TIME:  1 Hr 25 Min  |  SERVINGS:  16

 

YOU'LL NEED:

  • 1 Pouch Betty Crocker® Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Butter and Eggs (called for on cookie mix pouch)
  • 1 Container Betty Crocker® Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • Red Food Coloring
  • 2 Tbs. Betty Crocker® Whipped Chocolate Frosting
  • 2 Mini Blue Confetti Sprinkles

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 13x9 inch pan with cooking spray. Make cookie dough as directed on pouch. Press dough in bottom of pan.
  2. Bake 20 – 25 minutes of until golden brown. Cool 30 minutes.
  3. Place about 3 tablespoons white frosting in each of 2 small bowls. Leave 1 bowl white for mittens, collar and hat trim; add a very small amount of red food color to other bowl to make pink for face. For remaining white frosting, stir in enough red food color to make bright red for hat, body, arms, legs and mouth. Chocolate frosting will be for hair and blue sprinkles for the eyes.
  4. Using sharp paring knife, cut cookie into shapes as directed on diagram. Place cookies on serving platter in elf shape. Frost and decorate elf as desired, using photo as guide.

Elf and Friends Gingerbread Cookies

It’s a little-known fact that gingerbread men and the Elf on the Shelf® are fast friends. Of course the elves are always a little trickier to find. So if yours goes missing, we suggest checking the cookie jar!

PREP TIME: 1 Hr 15 Min  |  TOTAL TIME:   1 Hr 15 Min  |  SERVINGS:  24

 

YOU'LL NEED:

  • 1 Pouch Betty Crocker® Gingerbread Cookie Mix
  • Butter, Water and Egg (Called for on cookie Mix Pouch)
  • 1/2 Ccontainer (1-lb size) Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy Vanilla
    or Creamy White frosting
  • Few Drops Red Food Coloring
  • 1 Bottle (2 oz) Betty Crocker® Decorating Decors Red Cinnamon Candies
  • 2 Blue Mini Confetti Sprinkles
  • Betty Crocker® Black Cecorating Gel (from 0.68-oz tube)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, water and egg until soft dough forms.
  2. On generously floured surface, roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with 2 1/2-inch gingerbread person cookie cutter. On ungreased cookie sheets, place cutouts 2 inches apart. Using a bit of remaining dough, create elf hat by cutting triangle 1 inch long. Place hat on top of head of 1 gingerbread cookie.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
  4. In small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of the frosting with food color to desired red color. Place remaining frosting into decorating bag fitted with round tip. Pipe white frosting on cookies. Use red frosting, sprinkles and decorating gel to decorating the 1 elf’s hat and face. Decorate all with cinnamon candies.

Elf Food

A surefire way to lure your Elf on the Shelf® back from the North Pole—combine candy sprinkles, maple syrup and tiny doughnuts (made from Cheerios!) for an irresistible mix your elf will love!

PREP TIME:   20 Min  |  TOTAL TIME:   40 Min  |  SERVINGS:   18

 

YOU'LL NEED:

  • 1/2 C. White Vanilla Baking Chips
  • 1/2 C. Cheerios® Cereal
  • 2 Tbs. Candy Sprinkles
  • 6 C. Corn Chex® or Rice Chex® Cereal
  • 1/3 C. Butter
  • 1/3 C. Packed Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbs. Pure Maple Syrup
  • 2 C. Miniature Marshmallows

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In small microwavable bowl, melt white vanilla baking chips uncovered on High 30 to 45 seconds or until they can be stirred smooth. Stir in Cheerios cereal. Spread on waxed paper in single layer; top with sprinkles. Let stand until set, about 30 minutes. Break into pieces; reserve.
  2. Meanwhile, place Chex cereal in large microwavable bowl.
  3. In 2-cup glass measuring cup, melt butter uncovered on High about 30 seconds. Add brown sugar and maple syrup; microwave uncovered on High about 30 seconds or until mixture is boiling. Pour over Chex cereal in bowl, stirring until evenly coated.
  4. Microwave Chex cereal mixture uncovered on High 3 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute, until mixture just begins to brown. Spread on waxed paper or foil. Cool completely, about 15 minutes. Break into bite-size pieces. Stir in miniature marshmallows and reserved Cheerios cereal pieces. Store in airtight container.
